Anita Nyakato is 24 years old. She was born with one leg shorter than the other. Because of this condition, she was unable to walk without limping. She was also not able to take part in many daily activities such as going to school, shopping, visiting with friends and attending church without a lot of effort.

In 2015, CanUgan, through KADUPEDI in Uganda, gave her a raised shoe. This raised shoe has made an enormous difference in her life. She is excited that she is now able to engage in activities and undertake chores much more easily than before. Anita is one more example of how CanUgan makes a difference in the life of people with disabilities in Uganda.
